Help

  1. Search a passage — type john 3:16 (or psalm 23, 1 cor 13:4-8) and press Go. Short abbreviations work too: jn, ps, rom, 1jn.
  2. + Save keeps a passage in your playlist. Click any saved item to bring it back instantly.
  3. + Pair adds a second passage side-by-side — useful for prophecy/fulfillment, OT/NT comparison, or call-and-response.
  4. Go Live (or press Enter) hides the control panel and fills the screen. Once live, Space or advances through pages and passages, B blanks the screen, Esc exits. iPhone users: tap Share → Add to Home Screen, then launch from there for true fullscreen.
  5. Bulk-add passages at once by separating them with ;, e.g. acts 2:38; john 1:1; rom 8:38. The Go button turns into "+ Add 3" when it sees multiple.
  6. Export your playlist as a .txt file (↓ icon) to save with lesson notes. Import it later (↑ icon) to reload.
Overlay scripture directly on your livestream so it floats over your camera or scene with no background box.
  1. In DisplayBible, set Background to Key (the chroma-green option). Press Enter to go full screen on the monitor or browser window you want OBS to capture.
  2. In OBS, in your scene, click + under Sources and choose Window Capture (or Display Capture if DisplayBible is on a second monitor).
  3. Pick the browser window running DisplayBible. The whole green screen with your scripture should appear in OBS as a new layer.
  4. Right-click the new source → Filters → click + under "Effect Filters" → choose Chroma Key.
  5. In the Chroma Key settings, set Key Color Type to Custom and enter #00b140 (the exact green DisplayBible uses). Adjust the Similarity and Smoothness sliders until the green disappears cleanly around your text. Defaults usually work well.
  6. Close the filters dialog. Position and resize the source in your scene as desired. Your scripture now floats over whatever is behind it.
Tip: keep the scripture text white or off-white for cleanest keying. Avoid the Verse Numbers toggle if you see amber halos around them — the amber accent is close enough to green that some keying setups can fringe.
